What it is used for

Warnings

Use lowest effective dose/shortest duration. Long-term: hypomagnesaemia, B12 deficiency, increased GI infection risk, fracture signal, fundic polyps. Masking of malignancy — investigate alarm features.

Possible side effects

Candidiasis, GI disturbances, skin rashes, photosensitivity, stomatitis blood dyscrasia, hypersensitivity, CNS effects, paraesthesia, malaise, alopecia, muscle weakness, myalgia, peripheral edema, gynecomastia, hepatitis.
