1. Agreement
By accessing AfyaIndex or creating an account, you agree to these terms and the linked Privacy Notice, Cookie Notice, Refund Policy, and Medical Disclaimer. If you use the service for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to act for it.
2. Clinical scope
AfyaIndex provides medicine reference and decision-support information. It does not provide diagnosis, prescribe treatment, replace clinical assessment, or replace the current product SmPC, Kenya Standard Treatment Guidelines, facility protocols, or advice from a qualified professional. Critical dosing and safety decisions must be independently verified.
3. Accounts
Provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and notify us if an account may be compromised. Accounts are personal unless supplied under an institution plan. We may suspend access reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risk, non-payment, or breach of these terms.
4. Subscriptions and checkout
Prices, billing periods, included features, and the total payable are shown before purchase. You must have an opportunity to review and correct checkout details before confirming. A transaction is complete only after payment confirmation. Renewal or recurring billing applies only where clearly disclosed and authorised.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not scrape, bulk-copy, resell, or systematically reproduce the database without written permission.
- Do not bypass access limits, test another person’s credentials, disrupt the service, or upload malicious material.
- Do not enter identifiable patient records into fields not expressly designed and contracted for that purpose.
- Do not present AfyaIndex content as your own regulatory approval or professional advice.
6. Content and corrections
Content may contain gaps, delays, or errors. Availability of a brand listing does not prove current registration, stock, price, or suitability. Use discrepancy-reporting tools when information appears wrong. We may update, correct, withdraw, or reclassify content as evidence changes.
7. Intellectual property
The platform design, compilation, original text, and software are protected by applicable rights. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for lawful personal or institutional reference. Rights in third-party sources remain with their owners.
8. Availability and liability
We aim for reliable access but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. To the extent permitted by law, AfyaIndex is not responsible for losses caused by reliance without required professional verification, unauthorised use, external services, or events beyond reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Ending use and disputes
You may stop using the service at any time and may request account closure subject to lawful retention. These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Contact hello@afyaindex.com first so we can try to resolve a concern promptly.
