Warnings
Myopathy/rhabdomyolysis risk rises with dose and interacting drugs. Check baseline LFTs; investigate muscle symptoms with CK. Diabetes incidence slight increase — benefits usually outweigh.
Possible side effects
Myalgia, raised LFTs, GI upset. Serious: rhabdomyolysis, severe hepatitis, immune-mediated necrotising myopathy (rare).
Storage
Store as labelled. Keep out of reach of children.
