Warnings
Since no clinical data is available for use of this drug during pregnancy, it should be used with caution in pregnant women if the potential benefits justify the potential risk to the foe-tus.
Possible side effects
Practically minimal. Neurotoxicity is a common side effect associated with arte-mesinin compounds in high doses. It manifests as gait disturbances, loss of spinal cord pain responses, incoordination, respiratory depression, convulsions and cardio-respiratory arrest. Others S/E’s are nausea, dizziness, and depressed GIT activity.
