What it is used for

Dyspepsia; a sense of fullness; abdominal distension; upper abdominal pain; eructation; flatulence; nausea and vomiting. Warnings

Obtain allergy and medication history. Adjust for renal/hepatic impairment, pregnancy, lactation, extremes of age and interacting drugs. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest appropriate duration. Monitor for expected class adverse effects.

Possible side effects

Raised prolactin concentrations hence likelihood of having gynaecomastia and galactorrhoea; reduced libido; hypersensitivity reactions; hyper- tensive crisis with phaeochromocytoma.
