10mg TID or QID 15-30min before meals. Children: Nausea and vomiting following cyto- toxic therapy or radiotherapy only, 200- 400mcg/kg every 4-8 hours.

It is a dopamine antagonist, which stimulates gastric emptying, strengthens oesophageal sphincter contractions and enhances small intestinal transit.

It is a dopamine antagonist, which stimulates gastric emptying, strengthens oesophageal sphincter contractions and enhances small intestinal transit. As an anti-emetic, it acts at chemoreceptor trigger zone hence not effective in vestibular disorders e.g. motion sickness.
